In addition to some of the best Southern food in Miami, Red Rooster also has a beautiful outdoor dining area. Attached to their main dining room and bar the eclectic space has twin retractable fabric pergolas to take of their shade and rain protection they need.
What made this project tricky for our designers was designing around the tree in the outdoor dining area. For this portion of the dining area, we designed and manufactured a fixed fabric canopy system to surround the tree. The other half is covered with the twin retractable fabric system over a custom aluminum trellis. The lean-to style of the system directs the rain to the integrated gutter system keeping the dining area and patrons dry.
Both sides of the system are operated independently giving the space flexible and comfortable coverage for year-round use. Our retractable pergola was able to create a higher ceiling for the restaurant and provide an open-air feel to the dining space while still being protected from the elements.
