At the center courtyard of the newly designed and built Seaway Residences, part of the Four Seasons Collection, is a retractable canopy and trellis for their updated 1930’s historical-period courtyard and planned signature dining terrace. In collaboration with the Architect, Owners and our partners at Uni-Systems we designed, manufactured and installed the traditional Trellis to blend seamlessly with the space and the En-Fold® retractable canopy on top. A tricky area to work with – the entire depth of the En-Fold system and the trellis needed to fit within a narrow vertical space above sets of bay windows on the second floor and below the bottom of the window sills on the third floor. The Smart Shade Structures team also executed the installation of the En-Fold® retractable canopy. The result is a highly coordinated integration of a modern retractable canopy and old world styled trellis over the historic courtyard, beautifully done.
