A Brickell favorite – Upgraded!
Smart Shade Structures is proud to have partnered with North Italia on one of their newest locations in Miami. Located in the heart of Brickell, the restaurant originally had a fixed aluminum shade on the facade of the building but they needed something for longevity and functionality for their outdoor dining area. We worked with them to upgrade the area with our Bioclimatic Tilting Louver System. The systems louvers rotate to a full 90 degrees, allowing them to adjust for shade, rain, or airflow as the Miami weather changes.
To optimize for space and walkability we designed the system to be installed with custom support hangers anchored to the wall. These custom wall-mounted supports eliminated the need for columns, keeping the space open, seamless, and fully functional. While each system has an integrated gutter system we designed and manufactured custom downspouts to direct the water from each system away from the dining area, keeping their customers dry and comfortable.
