Our clients at this staple Brickell Café were looking for a better long term solution for rain and the blazing Miami sun than their existing umbrellas. While the limited space on their dining terrace made the design development a little tricky, we made it work.
Our team installed 2 Lean-to Retractable Fabric Systems anchored up against the building and to a custom support structure manufactured by our team in Miami. The custom structure allowed us to avoid additional center columns. Between the 2 side by side systems is a Sunbrella fabric cover to provide coverage for the guests walking up between the 2 canopies. At the front perimeter of the system are aerofoil louvers, providing additional shade and water resistance with the polycarbonate covers on top. To seal it all together we manufactured and installed custom downspouts on the columns to ensure the water would not drain into the dining area, but away from it instead.
The best part? No columns, no clutter, just clean coverage that actually works.
